Islamabad, June 24, 2026: Federal Minister for Petroleum, Mr. Ali Pervaiz Malik, visited HDIP and was briefed on its mandate, research activities, testing facilities, and role in supporting Pakistan’s petroleum and gas sectors.

During the visit, the Minister toured the Pakistan Petroleum Corehouse (PETCORE) and the Petroleum Testing and Research Laboratory (PTRL), where he reviewed the facilities and appreciated HDIP’s contributions to hydrocarbon exploration, research, and quality assurance services. The Minister emphasized strengthening governance, institutional capacity, technical expertise, and research-driven solutions to address emerging energy challenges. He reaffirmed the Government’s support for HDIP’s efforts in advancing scientific research and technological development in Pakistan’s energy sector.
